You know, you are not the only one who comments on my blog that isn't a friend of mine. Oh no siree bob! Screened means only I and the writer of a specific comment can see it.

This is especially a barrel o' laughs:

"Also, don't you know calling women stupid is degrading? A pornographer calling a woman a stupid whore or you calling a woman who disagrees with you "so stupid" is not all that different."

Because referring to various people's behaviours, attitudes and views who are pro-porn, pro-bdsm who have been misinterpreting and lying about me as "their stupid" is totes the same as being a pornographer calling a woman a stupid whore... Because characterising someone's methods, views, etc as foolish, pointless, etc is obviously the same as verbally sexually violating a woman's very sense of self by say SHE is a "stupid whore." Stunning logic, Ren.

So, this just in, y'all heard it folks: questioning the intelligence of people, male and female, and their beliefs is the same as calling a woman a stupid whore for simply being a woman in a sexualised situation. Wow!

I assure you I find you no less amusing. There is a difference between questioning someone's stance on a matter or their logic and calling them stupid, repeatedly, which is exactly what you and many of your commentors have done. And yes, it is degrading. Just as many women have been called fat, or ugly, or prudes, or whatever else, they have also been called stupid, and it is demeaning and degrading. You ARE intelligent enough to know that. Adding the word whore or not adding the word whore does not change the fact that calling a woman stupid degrades her, and you've done just that.

It's odd how so many women seem to think they get a pass on so much of their crap behavior and wrap it all up in victimhood. Being an asshole is being an asshole, flat out, and "victim of the patriarchy" is no excuse. I can at least admit I can be an asshole.

And yes, I know some of the comments you didn't publish. Many of them were not attacks on you or any of your readers in the least. And sure enough, you can run moderation on your blog in any way you see fit. Other people can find it...ironic. But I will say this, I seriously doubt that if a man called his daughter, or wife, or girlfriend or a coworker stupid, repeatedly, simply for having a different opinion, you would say it was anything BUT degrading. When a woman does it, she does not get a pass. It is still degrading. People not agreeing with you about porn, BDSM, or anything else does not make them any less intelligent than you or anyone else, it makes them someone with a different opinion- end of story.
